Non-data-aided and non-timing-directed feedforward frequency acquisition for linear digital modulations

We address the problem of feedforward frequency acquisition without timing information with digital linear modulations. We propose to modify a classical method by performing an efficient search of the frequency error, which achieves an important reduction of the computational complexity without affecting the synchronizer performance appreciably.
