Abstract :
One of the most controversial subjects today is the cost-effectiveness and usefulness of high-level languages in microcomputer applications. Lawrence Livermore Laboratory has been involved with microprocessors since 19721,2and as such has constantly been involved with the evaluation of HLL´s. The problem becomes even more complicated when the area of real time data acquisition and control is specifically addressed.
