Abstract :
Through-pulse measurements have been performed on several installed 1.2/4.4 mm coaxial cables to record their forward, echo characteristics for possible operation up to 565 Mbit/s- Two typical examples are presented that illustrate the effects of both the random and periodic irregularities within such cables.
