Abstract
Conformal transformation is used to obtain the magnetic field of special type of linear induction pumps with long teeth and short coils. For the analysis, the teeth are assumed to be have semi-elliptical profile. Results indicate that both the propulsion and the leakage field increase with increasing tooth length. Due to the rapid increase of the leakage field optimum performance is expected when the length of the tooth equals the half tooth width.
