Abstract :
The application of a magnetoresistive thin-film head for reproducing analog audio is described. The principle of "magnetic feedback" at the flux guide and the magnetoresistive element is used; due to this magnetic feedback the distortion is low. A signal-to-noise ratio better than 56 dB (DIN A) was obtained.
