Abstract
The gain of arrays of
-dipoles in front of a ground plane is calculated by the mutual resistance method as a function of dipole ground-plane spacing and number of elements, illustrating the well known 3 dB limiting case for large arrays. The effect of scanning in the
-plane is also considered and compared with the cosine approximation.
