Abstract :
The past, present, and future of telecommunications in this country were very much on the minds of technical keynoters and panel members at COMPCON 78 Fall. The rapid emergence of data transmission technology in recent years has put increasing pressure–and even strain–on the regulatory and market systems that have governed who can offer what services, and under what conditions, over the nation´s vast telecommunications system.
