Abstract :
The intermodulation products generated in an actively compensated X-band IMPATT amplifier have been measured and compared with the corresponding uncompensated amplifier. The 3rd-order intercept point increases from 11.5 dB to 23 dB, giving an improvement of 11.5 dB.
