Abstract :
Using the theory of ferrite-filled circular waveguides,1,2 resonance frequencies of a circular waveguide cavity end-loaded with ferrite discs are predicted and the results compared with experimental data. As a first approximation a single basis-mode expansion is used, and satisfactory qualitative agreement between theory and experiment is obtained for a small, axial bias field and various disc thicknesses. This approach may be useful in circulator theory.
