Abstract :
The authors present a study of 2D magnetic structures taking into account the modelling of the external feeding circuit (voltage or current convertor) and eddy currents in solid conductive parts. The proposed method is based on the resolution of both the space-time differential equations which define the electromagnetic field within the structure and the electrical equations which describe the behaviour of the feeding circuit. To represent the whole system, a matrix equation is obtained in which the state variables come from the structure and the external circuit. This method is illustrated with an example where an electric machine is fed by a static convertor.
