Abstract
A mathematical model of coupled electromagnetic and thermal fields in a cylindrical exploding-wire placed in RLC circuits defined. A numerical analysis based upon the differential method is presented and a new criterion for skin-effect in a wire to be omitted has been obtained as a results of the calculations. The medium speed of zone of melting movements as well as the value of magnetic pinch are defined.
