Abstract
A major stride in the technology of RF network design and testing was made with the introduction of the automated network analyzer. Considering the myriad of spatial and temporal parameters of radiating systems,it is apparent that an equal impact can be made by the introducton of the computer into antenna testing. Indeed, experience with automated pattern ranges at Texas Instruments has shown thitso be the case, with test time savings ranging from 30 to 70%. Projections of the capabilities of the next generation portend an additional quantum improvement.
