The Relationship between Moral “Ought to” and “Is” from Mohaghegh Isfahani’s Perspective

فرااخلاق به مبادي تصوري و تصديقي علم اخلاق مي پردازد. يكي از موضوعات فرااخلاقي، مباحث منطقي است كه به استنتاج مفاهيم و گرازه هاي اخلاقي مي پردازد؛ بنابراين، رابطه بايد و هست در ديدگاه محقق اصهفاني در زمره مباحث منطقي فرااخلاق است كه به آن پرداخته نشده است. نويسنده در اين مقاله درصدد است تا ديدگاه محقق اصفهاني درباره ارتباط جمله هاي اخلاقي را تبيين و بررسي كند. محقق اصفهاني درصدد است جزمي بودن جمله هاي اخلاقي را اثبات كند. محقق اصفهاني رابطه جمله حاوي «بايد اخلاقي» و «هست اخلاقي» را رابطه استنتاجي نمي داند، بلكه رابطه عينيت را ميان آن ها قلمداد مي كند. ايشان رابطه جمله حاوي «بايد اخلاقي» و «هست غيراخلاقي» را به صورت استنتاجي مي پذيرد و نام استنتاجش را جدل مي نامد. ايشان، جمله هاي اخلاقي را فوق مظنونات و مفيد تصديق جازم مي داند. به نظر مي رسد اشكال بيان محقق اصفهاني، جامع نبودن آن نظريه است.

Meta-ethics deals with the conceptual and affirmative principles of morality. One of the issues in meta-ethics is logical discussion which deals with the deduction of moral concepts and propositions، therefor the relationship between moral “is” and “ought” from the perspective of Mohaghegh Isfahani can be considered a metalogical issue that has not received due attention. The present article is an attempt to delineate Mohaghegh Isfahani’s views on the realtionship between moral statements. Mohaghegh Isfahani tries to prove the logicality of moral statements. He considers the relationship between moral “ought to” and “is” not a deductive one but one which shows semantic overlap. He agrees that the relationship between immoral good and moral “ought to” is deductive. He calls this type of relationship “debate”. He believes in the certainty of moral statements. It seems that his blind eye on provocation، as an integral part of the meaning of “Ought to”، is problematic.
