The Geopolitical requirements of the joint defense treaty of the Persian Gulf States

اين مقاله به بررسي انعقاد پيمان دفاعي مشترك بين كشورهاي حوزه خليج فارس با تاكيد بر الزامات ژئوپليتيك ، به‌منظور برقراري امنيت در منطقه خليج فارس توسط كشورهاي اين حوزه اختصاص دارد. بر اساس نتايج مطالعات منابع مختلف، يكي از عوامل اصلي ناامني در منطقۀ خليج فارس، ايالات متحده آمريكا و حاميان منطقه‌اي آن مي‌باشد. با توجه به مزيتهاي طبيعي و موقعيت ژئواستراتژيك ايران در ترتيبات امنيتي، اقتصادي، سياسي، اجتماعي و نظامي، حضور و نقش ايران در معادلات سياسي و اقتصادي منطقه حياتي است. در اين مقاله كه به شيوه تحليلي- توصيفي انجام مي‌شود تلاش شده است، روابط متقابل كشورهاي حوزه خليج فارس و چشم‌انداز دفاعي اين منطقه ژئواستراتژيك، بر اساس عوامل ژئوپليتيك و با تاكيد بر فرآيند شكل‌گيري پيمان نظامي- دفاعي كشورهاي اين حوزه، مورد بررسي قرار گيرد.

This paper investigates the joint defense treaty amongst the Persian Gulf states for the purpose of establishing security in the Persian Gulf region, emphasizing its geopolitical requirements. The results obtained from various sources prove that the main element contributing to insecurity in the Persian Gulf region is the U.S and its regional allies. The presence of the Islamic Republic of Iran is vital for the security, economical, political, social and military orders of the region because of her natural advantages and geostrategic position. This analytical-descriptive paper attempts to study the relations of the Persian Gulf states and the defense vision of this geostrategic region based on the geopolitical elements and by emphasizing the formation process of the military-defensive treaty of the states.
