Green and Red Symbolism in the Wedding Rituals of Hormozgan

آداب و سنن هرمزگان مانند تمامي آيين ها و آداب و رسوم­ ها، سرشار از نمادها و نشانه هايي است كه درك و دريافت آن مستلزم شناخت باورها، عقايد و فرهنگ عاميانه ي بوميان اين منطقه و در نتيجه آشنايي با هويت ملي است. رنگ در كنار زيبايي ها و ويژگي هاي رواني خاص خود، از عناصر بصري مهم و تأثيرگذار در آيين ازدواج بوميان هرمزگان است كه در آداب و رسوم و آيين هاي اين منطقه نمود ويژه اي دارد. مطالعات كتابخانه اي و مشاهدات ميداني نشان مي دهد؛ در آيين ازدواج بوميان هرمزگان دو رنگ سبز و قرمز پركاربردترين رنگها هستند. در پژوهش حاضر به منظور آشنايي با جنبه­ هاي نمادين اين دو رنگ و معنا و مفهوم آنها در آيين ازدواج، ابتدا اطلاعات لازم در مورد مراحل مختلف آيين هاي مربوط به ازدواج ـ كه رنگ سبز و قرمز در آنها نقش بارزي دارد ـ جمع آوري، سپس با استفاده از روش توصيفي ـ تحليلي وجه نمادين آنها بررسي شده است. نتايج حاصل از اين پژوهش نشان مي دهد كه كاربرد اين دو رنگ در آيين ازدواج هرمزگان علاوه بر جنبه ي زيبايي­، مفاهيمي نمادين دارد و با مضمون آيين مورد نظر مرتبط مي ­باشد.

Typically, customs and traditions of Hormozgan are full of signs and symbols. Understanding these traditions requires a proper understanding of the beliefs, opinions, and indigenous folk culture of the region. Thus, realizing local customs demands delving into national identities of the native people. Apart from its beauty and specific psychological characteristics, color is one of the most significant visual elements in wedding rituals of Hormozgan, which is a uniquely important tradition of this geographical area. Library Studies and field observations have shown that green and red are the most common colors in wedding rituals of Hormozgan province.The present study was set out to investigate the symbolic aspect of these two colors and their meanings in customs and wedding rituals of Hormozgan. In doing so, firstly information about different customs and rituals in which these colors play a significant role was collected. Then using analytical descriptive methods, their symbolic aspect was examined. The results of this study indicate that the colors green and red, besides their beauty, have symbolic meanings associated with the concept of respective rituals.
