رﺷﺪ ﻋﻼﻗﻪ ﺑﻪ ﺑﺮرﺳﻲ ﺗﺤﻮﻻت و روﻳﺪادﻫﺎي ﺧﺎورﻣﻴﺎﻧﻪ از ﻳﻚ ﺳﻮ و ﮔﺴﺘﺮش دوره ﻫـﺎي آﻣﻮزﺷﻲ و ﭘﮋوﻫﺸﻲ ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﺎت اﻳﻦ ﻣﻨﻄﻘﻪ ﻃﻲ ﺳﺎل ﻫﺎي اﺧﻴﺮ، از ﺳﻮي دﻳﮕﺮ، ﻣﻮﺟﺐ ﺷـﺪه اﺳﺖ ﻧﻴﺎز ﺑﻪ آﺛﺎر آﻣﻮزﺷﻲ و ﺗﺤﻘﻴﻘﻲ ﺑﻴﺶ از ﮔﺬﺷﺘﻪ اﺣﺴﺎس ﺷﻮد. از اﻳﻦ رو اﻧﺘﺸﺎر ﻛﺘـﺎب ﺳﻴﺎﺳﺖ و ﺣﻜﻮﻣﺖ در ﺧﺎورﻣﻴﺎﻧﻪ ﺗﻮﺳﻂ ﻧﺎﺷﺮاﻧﻲ داﻧﺸﮕﺎﻫﻲ و ﻣﻌﺘﺒﺮ ﺟﻠﺐ ﺗﻮﺟﻪ ﻣﻲ ﻧﻤﺎﻳﺪ؛ ﻛﺘﺎﺑﻲ ﻛﻪ ﻗﺮار اﺳﺖ اﺳﻠﻮب آﻣﻮزﺷﻲ داﺷﺘﻪ ﺑﺎﺷﺪ و ﺧﻮاﻧﻨﺪﮔﺎن، ﺑﻪ وﻳﮋه داﻧﺸـﺠﻮﻳﺎن رﺷـﺘﻪ ﻋﻠﻮم ﺳﻴﺎﺳﻲ در ﻣﻘﻄﻊ ﻛﺎرﺷﻨﺎﺳﻲ، را ﺑﺎ اﻃﻼﻋﺎت و ﺗﺤﻠﻴﻞ ﻫﺎي ﭘﺎﻳﻪ در اﻳﻦ زﻣﻴﻨﻪ آﺷﻨﺎ ﻛﻨﺪ. ﺑﺎ اﻳﻦ ﺣﺎل، ﺑﺮرﺳﻲ ﺷﻜﻠﻲ و ﻣﺤﺘﻮاﻳﻲ ﻛﺘﺎب ﻧﺸﺎن ﻣﻲ دﻫﺪ ﻛـﻪ ﺑـﻪ رﻏـﻢ دﻗـﺖ ﻧﺎﺷـﺮان در ﻋﺮﺿﻪ اﺛﺮي ﺟﺎﻣﻊ و ﻋﻠﻤﻲ، اﻳﻦ ﻧﻮﺷﺘﻪ دﭼﺎر ﻛﺎﺳﺘﻲ ﻫﺎ و ﮔﺎه ﺑﻲ دﻗﺘﻲ ﻫﺎي ﻣﺘﻌـﺪدي اﺳـﺖ، ﺑﻪ ﮔﻮﻧﻪ اي ﻛﻪ ﻇﺮﻓﻴﺖ و ارزش آن را ﺑﺮاي اﺳﺘﻨﺎد و ﺗﺪرﻳﺲ در داﻧﺸـﮕﺎه ﺑـﺎ ﺗﺮدﻳـﺪ روﺑـﺮو ﻣﻲ ﻛﻨﺪ. ﺑﺮ اﻳﻦ اﺳﺎس، ﻣﻄﺎﻟﺒﻲ درﺑﺎره وﻳﮋﮔﻲ ﻫﺎي ﺷﻜﻠﻲ و ﻧﻜﺎت ﻗﻮت و ﺿـﻌﻒ ﻣﺤﺘـﻮاي اﺛﺮ ذﻛﺮ ﺷﺪه و در ﭘﺎﻳﺎن ﻧﻴﺰ ﺗﻮﺻﻴﻪ ﻫﺎ و ﭘﻴﺸﻨﻬﺎدﻫﺎﻳﻲ ﺑﺮاي وﻳﺮاﻳﺶ ﺟـﺪي آن آﻣـﺪه اﺳـﺖ. ﺑﻪ ﻧﻈﺮ ﻣﻲ رﺳﺪ ﻣﻬﻤﺘﺮﻳﻦ ﻣﺸﻜﻞ ﻛﺘﺎب آن اﺳـﺖ ﻛـﻪ ﻫـﻢ از راﻫﻨﻤـﺎﻳﻲ ﻣﺘﺨﺼﺼـﺎن ﺣـﻮزه ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﺎت ﺧﺎورﻣﻴﺎﻧﻪ و ﻫﻢ از ﻣﺸﻮرت ﺻـﺎﺣﺐ ﻧﻈـﺮان ﺣـﻮزه ﺗﻌﻠـﻴﻢ و ﺗﺮﺑﻴـﺖ، در ﺟﻬـﺖ ﻧﮕﺎرش اﺛﺮي آﻣﻮزﺷﻲ، ﺑﻲ ﺑﻬﺮه ﺑﻮده اﺳﺖ.

Increasing the enthusiastic attempts to trace the Middle East events and evolutions, on the one hand and establishing the Middle East Studies courses (both in research and teaching) on the other hand, caused the need for research and teaching sources in this field. The printing of Politics and Government in Middle East by significant university press is very important; a book which is going to have educational method and offer the data and analyses on political issues to the students of political sciences, esp. the bachelors. However, reviewing the form and the content of this book shows that despite the publishers’ finesse to offer a scientific and comprehensive work, it has some lacks and inaccuracy, so that introducing it as an academic source may be hesitated. Accordingly, this paper offers some positive and negative of the book, and at the end, it proposes recommendation to the authors and publishers to issue a new edition of the book. The major dilemma of the book seems to be its lack of the proficiency guideline and ideas of the scholars of Middle East Studies, in one side and guideline and ideas of the of education, in other side.
