Resurrection of Words: a Work in Defending Formalism

برخلاف سنت استاداني چون فروزانفر، همايي، زرين كوب و ... ـ كه عمدتاً به زندگي و انديشۀ نويسنده/ شاعر مي پرداختند ـ برخي از آثار دكتر شفيعي كدكني خاص و متفاوت با اين سنّت است چرا كه جداي از محتوا و درونمايه به مسالۀ فرم و شكل آثار ادبي نيز توجه داشته، گاه كتاب (موسيقي شعر) يا مقالاتي كاملاً شكل مدارانه (فرماليستي) نوشته اند. رستاخيز كلمات: درس گفتارهايي دربارۀ نظريۀ ادبي صورتگرايان روس در اين ميان فرماليستي ترين اثر ايشان است كه در آن نه تنها به معرفي فرماليسم (تاريخچه، آموزه ها و شخصيت هاي تاثيرگذار آن) پرداخته شده است، بلكه برخي از مقالات ايشان كه با الهام گيري از آراء آنها نوشته شده ‌اند، نيز در آن گنجانده شده است. با تمام محاسني كه اين كتاب (همانند تمام آثار دكتر شفيعي كدكني) دارد، انتقاداتي نيز مي توان بر آن وارد ساخت. اصلي ترين اين انتقادات عبارتند از: 1. بيان ناقص (و شايد هم نادرست) زمينه/زمينه هاي پيدايش فرماليسم روسي 2. فقدان انسجام نظريه هاي ارائه شده از سوي نويسندۀ كتاب 3. وجود برخي گزاره هاي ابطال ناپذير و غيرعلمي در كتاب 4. و در نهايت گنجاندن فصل هايي مانند «تكامل موتيف كوزه گر در شعر خيام» كه با فضاي فرماليستي كتاب رستاخيز كلمات تناسبي ندارند.

Contrary to the tradition of some professors such as Forouzanfar, Homaee, Zarrinkoub who mainly discussed on life and thought of the author / poet – some of the works by Dr. Shafiee Kadkani are specific and different because they have emphasized on the question of form and the form of literary work apart from the content and theme, and they have written sometimes books (poetry, music) or perfectly form oriented articles (based on formalist). Resurrection of words: in this meantime, a lesson of speeches on literary theory of Russian formalists has been the most formalist work by him in which not only is discussed on the introduction of the formalism (history, teachings and characters affected), but also some of his articles have been included which have been written with inspiration from their ideas. With all the advantages that this book has (such as all works by Dr. Shafiee Kadkani), there are some criticisms on it. The main criticisms are as follows: 1- incomplete expression (and possibly incorrect) background / context of the emergence of Russian Formalism, 2- lack of coherence of theories presented by the author, 3- some irrefutable and non-scientific propositions in the book and 4- finally, the inclusion of chapters such as "potter motif evolution in the poetry of Omar Khayyam" which is not consistent with formalism space of the book of resurrection of words.
