A Successful Step towards Application of Informatics in Nursing in Iran

امروزه با توجه به توسعه روز افزون علم پرستاري و افزايش تقاضا براي بهبود و ارتقاي كيفيت مراقبت هاي پرستاري، ضرورت تلفيق علم انفورماتيك با علم پرستاري، به جهت مديريت صحيح اطلاعات پرستاري، بيش از پيش خود نمايي مي كند؛ بنابراين مطالعه حاضر با هدف توسعه سيستم الكترونيك اطلاعات پرستاري به عنوان گامي در راستاي تلفيق علم انفورماتيك با علم پرستاري ، انجام شد.روش: مطالعه با استفاده از رويكرد اقدام پژوهي تكنيكي انجام شد. مراحل مطالعه شامل توسعه سيستم الكترونيك اطلاعات پرستاري، اجرا و ارزشيابي آن بود. سيستم در بخش مراقبت ويژه نوزادان با مشاركت پرستاران در سال 1395 اجرا شد. نتايج كمي ارزشيابي سيستم با استفاده از روش هاي آمار توصيفي و داده هاي كيفي حاصل از مصاحبه ها با استفاده از روش تحليل محتوا و كد گذاري قراردادي مورد تجزيه و تحليل قرار گرفت.نتايج: نتايج پرسشنامه هاي رضايت سنجي حاكي از رضايت پرستاران از اجزا و كاربرد سيستم الكترونيك بود. سطح اطلاعات دارويي و اطلاعات مربوط به فرآيند پرستاري پرستاران نيز بعد از استفاده از سيستم افزايش يافت. تحليل محتواي يافته هاي كيفي نيز منجر به استخراج طبقات اصلي ارتقاء كيفيت مراقبت ها، بهبود فرآيند مستندسازي، ارتقاء حرفه اي، آموزش و يادگيري مداوم، تلفيق تئوري و عمل در كاربرد فرآيند پرستاري، موانع انساني و تجهيزاتي شد. نتيجه گيري: نتايج مثبت مطالعه حاضر نشان داد كه توجه به مواردي مثل طراحي سيستم الكترونيك بومي مبتني بر نيازهاي پرستاران و مشاركت فعال ذينفعان در همه مراحل انجام مطالعه، توانست گامي هرچند كوچك ولي موفق به سوي كاربرد موثر از علم انفورماتيك در علم پرستاري بردارد.

Introduction: Nowadays, due to the increasing development of nursing science and demand for improving and enhancing the quality of nursing care, the necessity of integrating informatics with Nursing Science for proper management of nursing information flaunts more than ever. Therefore, the present study aimed to develop the electronic information system of nursing as a step towards the integration of informatics science with nursing science. Methods: The present study was conducted using technical action research approach. The main stages of the study were the development of a nursing electronic information system, its implementation, application and evaluation in a neonatal intensive care unit in 2016. Descriptive statistics was used for the analysis of quantitative data and qualitative data obtained from interviews were analysed using content analysis and coding. Results: The results of Satisfaction Scale Questionnaire showed satisfaction of nurses with the components and applications of the electronic system. Nurses' information about drugs and the process of nursing increased after using the system. Content analysis of qualitative findings also led to exploit the main categories of enhancing the quality of care, improving the documentation process, professional development, continuing education and learning, the integration of theory and practice in the application of the nursing process, human and equipment barriers. Conclusion: According to the obtained results, paying attention to the design of a native system based on the needs of nurses and the participation of the beneficiaries could take a small but successful step toward effective use of informatics science in nursing
