جدال سعدي با مدّعي

Sa'di’s Debate with Claimants

سعدي در قطعه‌اي كه در پايان باب هفتم گلستان آمده، مدّعي را «در صورت درويشان نه بر صفت ايشان» معرفي مي‌كند. فضاي جدالْ محفلي است كه درويش، در آن نشسته و شنعتي در پيوسته و دفتر شكايتي باز كرده و ذمّ توانگران آغاز كرده است. در اين قطعه كه سعدي در آن ضوابط مناظره را، با دقت تمام، رعايت نموده، دو صدا مي‌شنويم و با دو سعدي مواجهيم: يكي سعديِ نويسنده؛ ديگر سعديِ در مقام يكي از دو حريفِ جدال كه از توانگران دفاع مي‌كند. نويسنده در ادامه مقاله با ذكر شواهدي به توصيف هر يك از اين دو چهره مي‌پردازد.

In a piece at the end of the seventh chapter of golestan, Sa'di defines "claimant" as a people who look like the Dervishes, but do not possess the characteristics. The atmosphere of war is a circle where the Dervish is Present and an argument is ongoing, and he is listening to complaints and has started to degrade the wealthy. In this piece Sa'di has carefully described the debate. The reader hers two voices and is faced with two Sa'di’s: Sa'di the writer and Sa'di the man who is defending the wealthy in this debate. The author of this essay is going to further disucss the debate and describe each of these two faces of Sa'di.
