شقاوت و شكنجه در اساطير و حماسه هاي ايراني (با تكيه بر شاهنامۀ فردوسي)

شكنجه از قديمي ترين پديده هاي زندگي اجتماعي و سياسي بشر است. تاريخ ملل مملو از اعمال شنيع و ننگين انسانها است كه غالباً به مرگ دردناك همنوع مي انجاميده؛ شقاوت هايي همچون مُثله كردن، سوزانيدن، پوست بازكردن، شكنجة نُه مرگ، و جز آنها. شگفت آور است دانستن اينكه دين ورزان نيز گاه در همسويي با ارباب قدرت، مُهر تأييد بر چنين رفتارهايي مي نهاده اند. نويسندة اين جستار بر آن است تا با روشي توصيفي تحليلي ضمن اشاره اي گذرا به چند و چون شكنجه در ايران باستان، آن را در برخي آثار حماسي فارسي به ويژه شاهنامه بررسي كند. يافته ها نشان مي دهد كه به گواهي شاهنامه در ايران پيش از اسلام، انواع شكنجه به انگيزه هاي مختلف اِعمال مي شده و فردوسي با تمام دلبستگي به فرهنگ ايران، از بيان اين نقاط تاريك تاريخ ايران فروگذار نكرده است. ديگر آنكه سخت ترين شكنجه ها در پي اتّحاد قدرتمندان و دينورزان، براي سركوب مخالفان و دستيابي به مشروعيت و قدرت بيشتر، اعمال مي شده است

Torture is one of the oldest phenomena in human social and political life .The history of nations has witnessed the heinous acts of humans, atrocious acts such as mutilation, deflagrate, skinning and so on, which often led to a painful death of the others. It is very wonderful that, aligning with the powerful rulers, sometimes the men of religion have also approved these acts. By using descriptive and analytical method, the author of the present article tries to allude briefly to the quality and quantity of torture in ancient Iran and to investigate it in some Persian epics in general and in the Shāhnāmeh in particular. The results, as the Shāhnāmeh testifies, show that types of torture, with different motives, were used in pre-Islamic Iran, and Ferdowsi, with all his attachment to Iranian culture, has reported these obscure points of the Iranian history. After the unification of the powerful and religious men and to suppress the oppositions and to gain legitimacy and power, the hardest tortures were used to apply.
