The Effect of Teaching Philosophy to Children on the Social Skills of the Fifth Grade Elementary School Students

هدف از انجام دادن اين پژوهش، بررسي نقش برنامه آموزش فلسفه براي كودكان بر مهارت هاي اجتماعي دانش آموزان پاية پنجم مدارس ابتدايي شهر خرم آباد در سال تحصيلي 94-1393 است. اين تحقيق، از نوع كاربردي است و شيوة پاية پنجم مدارس ابتدايي شهر خرم آباد تشكيل داده است. در اين پژوهش، بر اساس سه تحقيق مشابه، تعداد 60 نفر به عنوان حجم نمونه اتنخاب شد، 30 نفر در گروه گواه و 30 نفر درگروه آزمايشي. اين تعداد، به صورت تصادفي در هر يك از گروه ها قرار گرفتند. براي جمع آوري داده ها، از مقياس مهارت هاي اجتماعي متسون بهره گرفته شد. براي تجزيه و تحليل داده هاي گرد آوري شده، از آمار توصيفي و آمار استنباطي (تحليل كواريانس) استفاده شد. نتايج حاصل از بررسي هاي آماري نشان داد كه برنامه آموزش فلسفه، بر مهارت هاي اجتماعي دانش آموزان كلاس پنجم تاثير داشته است.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of philosophy for children on the fifth grade elementary school students’ social skills in Khorramabad, in the academic year of 1393-1394 (2015-16). This research is applied and its method is quasi-experimental with the pre-test and posttest with a control group design. The population of the study included all students in fifth grade elementary school in Khorramabad. In this study, based on three similar studies, the selected sample was 60, 30 in the experimental group, and 30 in the control group, the students in each group were randomly selected. To collect data, the Mattson's scale of social skills was used. To analyze the collected data, descriptive and inferential statistics (analysis of covariance) were used. The results of the statistical analysis showed that teaching philosophy had an effect on the students’ social skills. Therefore, it is recommended that the program be implemented at the school level.
