The Relationship of Internet Addiction and Religious Orientation with Students' Academic Procrastination according to Gender

پژوهش با هدف بررسي رابطه اعتياد به اينترنت و جهت گيري مذهبي با اهمال كاري تحصيلي دانشجويان با توجه به جنسيت انجام شد. روش پژوهش توصيفي و از نوع همبستگي بود. جامعه آماري شامل تمامي دانشجويان خوابگاهي مشغول به تحصيل دانشگاه شهيد مدني آذربايجان در سال تحصيلي 95-94 بودند كه بر اساس جدول كرجسي و مورگان 200 نفر از آنها با روش نمونه گيري خوشه اي انتخاب شدند. براي جمع آوري داده ها از پرسشنامه هاي اعتياد به اينترنت يانگ 1998 جهت گيري مذهبي آلپورت 1950 و اهمال كاري سولمون و راثبلوم1989 استفاده گرديد. داده ها با استفاده از آزمون هاي آماري ضريب همبستگي پيرسون و تحليل رگرسيون چندگانه مورد تجزيه و تحليل قرار گرفتند. يافته ها نشان داد بين تمامي مؤلفه هاي اهمال كاري تحصيلي و اعتياد به اينترنت رابطه مثبت معنادار وجود داشت )0/05

The aim of this study was to investigate the Relationship of Internet Addiction and Religious Orientation with Students' Academic Procrastination according to gender. The study was descriptive and correlational. The study population included all campus students studying in Azarbaijan Shahid Madani University at the academic year 2015-2016 that based on Morgan table, 200 of them were selected by Cluster sampling. For data gathering of the Internet Addiction Questionnaire of Young (IAT) (1988), religious orientation Questionnaire of Allport and procrastination Questionnaire of Solomon & Rothblum were used. Data using Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis were analyzed. The results showed that was a positive significant relationship between all the components of Academic Procrastination and Internet addiction and almost the middle of the variance in scores of academic procrastinations based on Internet addiction and intrinsic religious orientation explained. According to the results can be said that internet addiction and religious orientation are important factors that could contribute Academic Procrastination. To Parents and all educational planners recommended that with proper training, the beneficial use of the Internet and increase internal religious orientation to teaching students.
