تحليل مسير اثر ميزان استفاده از تلفن همراه بر درگيري تحصيلي دانشجويان: نقش واسطه‌اي توجه

Path Analysis of the Effect of Mobile Phone Use on Academic Engagement of Students at Birjand University: The Mediating Role of Attention

هدف اين پژوهش، ارائه ­ي يك مدل ساختاري براي نشان دادن روابط ساختاري بين ميزان استفاده از تلفن همراه و درگيري تحصيلي با نقش ميانجيگري توجه در دانشجويان دانشگاه بيرجند بود. جامعه­ ي آماري اين پژوهش كليه ­ي دانشجويان كارشناسي مشغول به تحصيل دانشگاه بيرجند در سال تحصيلي 95-1394 بودند. حجم كل جامعه آماري متشكل از 6637 نفر بود. نمونه­ ي اين پژوهش 200 نفر از دانشجويان طبق حداقل حجم نمونه در مدل­ يابي بودند كه با روش نمونه‌گيري خوشه‌اي انتخاب شدند. ابزارهاي مورد استفاده در پژوهش حاضر، پرسشنامه­ ي اعتياد به تلفن همراه جعفرزاده (1391)، پرسشنامه درگيري اسچوفيلي و همكاران (1996) و آزمون فراخناي اعداد معكوس وكسلر بود. داده‌ها با تحليل مسير آزمون شد. يافته­ ها نشان داد كه افزايش ميزان استفاده از تلفن همراه بر دامنه­ ي توجه دانشجويان تأثير منفي دارد. به عبارتي ديگر ميزان توجه و درگيري تحصيلي دانشجويان با افزايش ميزان استفاده از تلفن همراه كاهش پيدا مي‌كند. اين يافته­ هـا ضـرورت توجه جدي مسـئولين را بـه رواج روزافـزون اسـتفاده از تلفـن همـراه و پيامدهاي منفي آن نشان مي ­دهد. به نظر م ي­رسد ميزان استفاده از تلفن همراه مي­تواند پيش ­بيني كننده­ ي خوبي براي درگيري تحصيلي دانشجويان باشد.

This study was carried out to provide a structural model for illustrating the structural relationships between the amount of mobile phone usage and academic engagement with mediating role of attention in students at the University of Birjand. The statistical population of this study included all students studying at Birjand University in the academic year 2015-2016. Sample included 200 students from Birjand University who were selected using cluster sampling. The instruments used in this study were Jafarzadeh mobile phone addiction questionnaire (2012), Schofield et al engagement questionnaire (1996) and Wechsler inverse number test. Data was tested by path analysis. The findings showed that the amount of mobile phone usage, influences students' attention. In other words, the amount of students' academic attention and engagement decreases with increasing use of mobile phones. These findings show the need for serious attention from the authorities on the negative consequences of students’ mobile phone usage. It showed that the use of mobile phones to be a good predictor of student academic engagement.
