طلب نخستين مرحله سير و سلوك معنوي ميلي باطني و انگيزه اي دروني است كه روح انسان را از نيازهاي مادي دور كرده و به مراحل بعدي سير و سلوك يعني عشق معرفت استغنا حيرت توحد و در نهايت فنافي الله مي كشاند گرچه در مورد آن ضمن شرح و توصيف اصطلاحات عرفاني در بر خي كتب صوفيه و فرهنگ ها مطالبي به صورت پراكنده ذكر شده اما به عوامل و انگيزه هاي ايجاد آن اشاره اي نگرديده است اذا در اين نوشتار ضمن بر شمردن علل ايجاد طلب و شرايط گذر از آن با تكيه بر آثار برجسته عرفاني از ابتدا تا پايان قرن هشتم به خصوصيات انگيزه ها و ويژگي هاي آن نيز پرداخته شده است در حقيقت طي مرحله طلب ريشه در علل و شرايط گوناگوني دارد كه از آن جمله مي توان به سوز درد درون كشش و جذبه مطلوب توفيق الهي زدودن زنگار تعلقات لزوم داشتن پيرو در نهايت كمك خواستن از مردان خدا و اوليا دين اشاره كرد

Desire, the first stage of spiritual behavior and excursion is an inward inclination and an inner motive that remove man’s spirit form material needs and attracts to later stages of behavior and excursion including love‚ knowledge‚ dispensation‚ amazement‚ unity and at last annihilation to Allah. Although in some Sufi books and cultures, while explaining gnostic expressions‚ some subjects have been mentioned dispersedly‚ it has not been pointed to factors and motives of creating it. so‚ in this writing‚ while naming the reasons of creating desire and it’s crossing conditions related to the gnostic and outstanding works form the beginning to the end of the eighth century,it’s characteristics and the motives are studied. In fact, the crossing of the desire stage depends on different reasons and conditions including the inner pain‚ the desirable attraction‚ the divine success‚ removing the rust of belongings‚ needing to have the spiritual leader and at last asking help from the Devine men and the authorities of the religion.
