Layer Semiotics of Young Adult?s Fiction Covers (Novel Series of Today?s Young Adults)

نشانه‌شناسي دانشي است كه درآن نشانه‌ها، مطالعه، شناسايي و دسته‌بندي مي‌شوند. قرارگرفتن تصوير در يك قاب آن را به متني تبديل مي‌كند كه كاركرد نشانه‌اي و دلالت‌گر پيدا مي‌كند و مي‌توان لايه‌هاي متفاوت را در آن واكاوي كرد. در آثاري كه براي نوجوانان آفريده شده گاهي تنها تصويركتاب، تصوير روي جلد است. با توجه به اين كه مخاطب اين تصويرها نوجوانانند، و توان درك مفاهيم پيچيده و پنهان را دارند؛ مي‌توان در اين تصاوير استعاره‌هاي تصويري، نشانه‌شناسي و انتزاع را بازيابي كرد. در اين مقاله به نشانه‌شناسي لايه‌اي تصوير روي جلد چهار اثر برگزيده‌ي مجموعه‌ي رمان نوجوان امروز از انتشارات كانون پرورش فكري كودكان و نوجوانان مي پردازيم و تلاش مي‌كنيم با كشف رابطه‌ي درون خود متن تصويري و نيز رابطه‌ي آن با متن نوشتاري، لايه‌هاي متفاوت رمزگاني را به خوانش بگيريم. به نظر مي‌رسد در اين چهار اثر، تصويرگر در طرح روي جلد به خوانش لايه‌هاي روايي متن پرداخته و تلاش كرده است با توجه به ساختار و گونه‌ي متن نوشتاري، متن تصويري جامعي را پيش چشم مخاطب بگسترد و لايه‌هاي معنايي متعددي را معرفي كند.

Semiotics is a science in which signs، are studied، identified and classified. Framing the picture converts it to a text with an indicator and signifier function، in which various layers can be explored. Sometimes، in the adolescents’ books، the only available picture for the entire book is the cover picture. Since the audiences of these pictures are young adults and they are capable of understanding complex and hidden concepts; the pictorial metaphors، semiotics and abstraction can be retrieved. In this paper، the layer semiotics of the cover picture of four novels، (the chosen works of the novel series for today’s young adults published by Institute for the Intellectual Development of children and young adults) are considered in order to read different layers of codes using the inner relation of pictorial text to the written text. In these four novels، it seems that the illustrator of the cover photo has read the narrative text and has attempted to spread up a comprehensive pictorial text in order to introduce several semantic layers to the audience by taking the structure and type of the written text into account.
