چكيده فارسي :
زمينه و هدف: امروزه از گياه خار مريم (با نام علمي (Silybum marianum، براي پيشگيري و درمان اختلالاتي همچون نارسايي كبد، كبد چرب غيرالكلي، ديابت، بيماري‌هاي عفوني، خوني و پوستي استفاده مي‌شود. در اين مطالعه مروري، به بررسي ديدگاه‌هاي طب سنتي ايراني درخصوص اين گياه و بررسي تطبيقي آن با مطالعات جديد پرداخته شد.
روش بررسي: در اين مطالعه مروري ابتدا در زمينه گياه خار مريم و كاربردهايش در منابع طب ايراني جستجو شد، سپس در پايگاه‌هاي اطلاعاتي مانند PubMed, Google scholar and SID، اثرات درماني آن با عباراتي مانند ديابت، بيماري‌هاي كبدي و كليوي، سرطان و پوست بررسي گرديد؛ سپس به مقايسه كاربردهاي اين گياه در طب جديد و ايراني پرداخته شد.
يافته‌ها: در طب سنتي، گياه خار مريم با عنوان «حرشف‌بري» معرفي شده و در درمان بيماري‌هاي كبد، صفرا و اختلالات پوستي، ورم، تقويت هضم مورد استفاده است؛ امروزه در مطالعات بسياري، اثرات اين گياه بررسي شده است و خواصي همچون درمان بيماري‌هاي كبدي، كليوي، پوستي، كنترل قند خون و متابوليسم چربي‌ها، تقويت سيستم ايمني و اثرات ضدسرطان آن به اثبات رسيده است.
نتيجه‌گيري: نتايج اين مطالعه نشان داد برخي خواص گياه خار مريم مانند محافظت و كمك به درمان بيماري‌هاي كبد، درمان اختلالات پوستي و اثرات ضدسرطان كه در مطالعات نوين به اثبات رسيده، در متون طب سنتي به آن اشاره شده است؛ لذا به‌نظر مي‌رسد آميزه‌هاي طب سنتي مي‌توانند در مداخلات پزشكي نوين سودمند باشند.
چكيده لاتين :
Background and Objectives: Nowadays, Silybum Marianum (Milk thistle) is used for prevention and treatment of disorders, such as liver failure, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, diabetes, and infectious, hematologic, and skin diseases. The aim of this review study was to investigate the view of Iranian traditional medicine on this plant and its comparative analysis with new studies.
Methods: In this review study, at first Silybum Marianum and its therapeutic use, were searched in Iranian traditional medicine references. Then, its therapeutic effects were studied in databases, such as PubMed, Google scholar, and SID using terms, such as diabetes, liver and kidney disease, cancer, and skin ; then, the uses of this plant in new medicine and Iranian traditional medicine, were compared.
Results: In traditional medicine, Silybum marianum has been introduced as "Harshfe Barry" and uses for the treatment of liver, gallbladder, and skin diseases, swelling, and strengthening digestion; Today, in many studies, the effects of this plant have been studied, and properties, such as treatment of liver, kidney, and skin diseases, blood glucose control and lipid metabolism, strengthening the immune system and its anticancer effects have been proven.
Conclusion: The results of this study showed that some of the properties of Milk thistle, such as protection and the treatment of liver diseases, treatment of skin disorders, and anticancer effects that have been proven in recent studies are referred to in traditional medicine texts; therefore, it seems that traditional medicine combinations can be useful in modern medical interventions.
