نام‌شناسي اجتماعي‌ــ ‌شناختي؛ حوزه نوين مطالعات ميان‌رشته‌اي

Cognitive Socio-Onomastics; A New Domain in Interdisciplinary Studies

هدف مقاله، معرفي حوزه مطالعاتي ميان‌رشته‌اي «نام‌شناسي اجتماعي‌ـ‌شناختي» است. نام‌شناسي، شاخه‌اي از زبان‌شناسي اجتماعي است كه در آغاز به‌عنوان يك دانش درزماني، به ريشه‌شناسي نام‌ها مي‌پرداخت، ولي زبان‌شناسي اجتماعي با اتخاذ ديدگاه هم‌زماني، نام‌شناسي را از يك دانش كهن‌گرا به دانشي براي مطالعه اجتماع معاصر تبديل كرد. نام‌ها، عنصرهاي زباني هستند كه بخشي از دانش زباني را كه نتيجۀ‌ مراودات اجتماعي و تعامل فرد با محيط پيرامون است، تشكيل مي‌دهند. به‌ همين سبب، آن‌ها در مطالعات زبان و هويت، نقش اساسي‌اي ايفا مي‌كنند. علاوه‌بر اين، نام‌ها در ساخت‌شناختي افراد، در جوامع مختلف با تنوع زباني و فرهنگي متفاوت، نقش مهمي دارند؛ ازاين‌ رو زبان‌شناسان شناختي نيز به مطالعۀ نام و نام‌گذاري علاقه‌مند هستند، اما به‌دليل چندبعدي بودن عنصر زباني نام، زبان‌شناسي اجتماعي و زبان‌شناسي شناختي، هيچ‌يك به‌تنهايي قادر به تبيين جنبه‌هاي گوناگون نام و نام‌گذاري نيستند. پيوند دانش مربوط به زبان و دانش مربوط به جامعه با يكديگر به انتخاب گونه‌اي از واژه‌ها و ساختارهاي زباني ديگر منجر مي‌شود كه با بافت اجتماعي، هماهنگ است. براساس يافته‌هاي اين مقاله، «نام‌شناسي اجتماعي‌ـ‌شناختي» به‌عنوان يك حوزه مطالعاتي ميان‌رشته‌اي با رويكرد تلفيقي، نام‌شناسي را از يك دانش رشته‌اي به دانشي ميان‌رشته‌اي تبديل مي‌كند كه قادر است به‌طور هم‌زمان «ابعاد اجتماعي‌ـ‌شناختي» مؤثر در نام‌گذاري را به‌خوبي تبيين كند.

The present paper aimed to introduce cognitive socio-onomastics, an emerging scientific and research interdisciplinary and a branch of cognitive sociolinguistics. Onomastics has interested linguists as well as philosophers, historians, archeologists, anthropologists, and sociologists. Initially, onomastics was a diachronic field and dealt with the etymology of names. However, sociolinguistics, taking a synchronic approach, brought onomastics to the arena of studying contemporary social relations. Since names are linguistic elements in the linguistic knowledge of the individual, formed in the course of his/her social interactions, they are considered vital elements in the study of language and identity. Also, names are part of the cognitive construction of individuals in societies with plenty of social and linguistic variations. Since neither sociolinguistics nor cognitive linguistics can explain the various aspects of names and naming, combining the knowledge of language and the knowledge of society leads to choosing words and linguistic structures in harmony with the social context. The discussion in the paper leads to the conclusion that "cognitive socio-onomastics," as a scientific research interdisciplinary with a mixed approach, account for both cognitive and social aspects of naming.
