Development and Design of Keller's Educational-Motivational Package and its Effectiveness on Student Motivation

مقدمه: بسياري از مشكلات تحصيلي دانشجويان از جمله افت تحصيلي و رفتارهاي ناسازگارانه از انگيزه تحصيلي ناكافي آنان نشأت مي‌گيرد. تدريس دروس بر اساس راهبردهاي انگيزشي كلر مي‌تواند در افزايش و بهبود انگيزه دانشجويان مؤثر باشد. ارتقاي انگيزه دانشجويان باعث توانمند شدن دانشجويان به‌عنوان پزشكان آينده كشور مي‌شود كه اين نيز به نوبه خود نقش حياتي در جهت ارتقاي سلامت جامعه دارد. اين پژوهش با هدف تدوين و طراحي بسته آموزشي- انگيزشي كلر و اثربخشي آن بر ميزان انگيزش دانشجويان پزشكي مقطع علوم پايه دانشگاه علوم پزشكي ايران انجام گرفت. روش كار: اين مطالعه از نوع مداخله آموزشي و نيمه آزمايشي مي‌باشد. جامعه آماري شامل كليه دانشجويان شاغل به تحصيل پزشكي مقطع علوم پايه دانشگاه علوم پزشكي ايران در سال تحصيلي 96-97 بودند كه تعداد 412 نفر از آن‌ها به‌عنوان نمونه پژوهش به‌صورت طبقه‌اي خوشه‌اي انتخاب شدند. پس از اجراي پرسشنامه انگيزش والرند با افرادي كه نمرات كمتر از 112 كسب كرده بودند (117 نفر) تماس گرفته شد كه تعداد 104 نفر راغب به ادامه شركت در مطالعه بودند كه محقق آن‌ها را با استفاده از روش بلوك‌هاي تصادفي به دو گروه آزمايش و كنترل تقسيم كرد. يافته‌ها: يافته‌هاي اين مطالعه نشان داد آموزش بر اساس راهبردهاي كلر به ميزان قابل ملاحظه‌اي در افزايش انگيزه مؤثر است كه اين نشان تأثير مثبت آموزش مي‌باشد. نتيجه‌گيري: به نظر مي‌رسد به كاربردن راهبردهاي انگيزشي در بالا بردن انگيزه تحصيلي دانشجويان پزشكي تاثيرگذار است و به يادگيري سودمندتر دانشجويان و سازگاري تحصيلي بهتر آنان منجر مي‌گردد. آموزش و يادگيري از جمله روش‌هايي هستند كه انگيزه را بالا مي‌برند. نتايج نشان داد كه ارتقاي انگيزه تحصيلي دانشجو،‌ با آموزش صحيح قابل يادگيري است كه اين نيز به نوبه خود منجر به موفقيت در فرايند ياددهي-يادگيري مي‌شود. بدين ترتيب كه ارتقاي انگيزه و بهبود كيفيت تدريس بر روي عملكرد تحصيلي دانشجويان، رفتار و طرز فكرِ آنان تأثير مي‌گذارد و باعث مشاركت فعال دانشجو در فرايند يادگيري مي‌شود.

Introduction: Many educational problems of students such as academic failure and maladaptive behaviors stem from their inadequate educational motivation. Teaching lessons based on Keller's motivational strategies can be effective in enhancing and motivating studentsPromoting students' motivation will empower students as future physicians of the country, which in turn will play a vital role in promoting community health. This study was done to develop and design Keller's educational-motivational package and its effectiveness on the motivation of medical students in the basic sciences of Iran University of Medical Sciences. Methods: This study is an educational and semi-experimental intervention. The statistical population consisted of all undergraduate students studying in the basic sciences of Iran University of Medical Sciences during the academic year of 96-97, which 412 of them were selected as the research sample by hierarchical cluster method. After completing the Valerand Motivation Inventory, people who received scores less than 112 (117 people) were contacted, 104 of whom wished to continue their participation in the study, and the researcher divided them into experimental and control groups by using the random blocks method. Results: The findings of this study showed that education based on Keller's strategies is significantly effective in increasing motivation, which indicates the positive effect of education. Conclusions: It seems that the use of motivational strategies is effective in raising academic motivation of medical students and it will lead to better student learning and better educational adjustment of them. Training and learning are among the methods that increase motivation. The results showed that promoting student's academic motivation with correct training is Learnable, which, in turn, leads to success in the teaching-learning process. In this way, promotion of motivation and improving the quality of teaching affects students' academic performance, their behavior and attitudes and will contribute to active participation of students in the learning process.
