چكيده فارسي :
يكي از اصلي ترين و مهم ترين كاركردهاي رديف كه انطباق واژه ها و كلمات گونه گون با قوافي متعدد و سازگار ساختن آن ها با برخي بحور است، تا به اكنون مورد تحليل و بررسي قرار نگرفته است. به عبارت ديگر، رديف غالبا گونه اي آزادي به واژه قافيه مي بخشد، آزادي اي كه به سبب آن، كلمه قافيه در سراسر زنجيره موسيقايي مصرع دوم و حتي تا نزديك به صدر آن مي تواند حركت كند. بر پايه همين كاركرد رديف، واژه هايي كه از لحاظ وزن عروضي به عنوان قافيه در بحري خاص نمي توانند استفاده گردند، به جلو رانده مي شوند تا در جايگاهي كه منطبق با عروض مصراع هستند، قرار گيرند. مثلا كلمات (جهان، روان ، جوان، و...) در بحر متقارب مثمن سالم (بدون رديف يا حروف وصل و خروج و نايره) در جايگاه قافيه نمي توانند قرار گيرند، به همين سبب است كه با آوردن يك «ي» و يا «را» و امثال آن در پس اين كلمات مي توان از اين واژه ها در جايگاه قافيه در اين بحر استفاده كرد. با نگاهي اجمالي به آثار شاعران دوره هاي نخستين شعر فارسي، مي توان دريافت كه در شمار قابل توجهي از اشعار، رديف به منزله اهرمي است كه واژه هاي قافيه را به حركت در مي آورد تا آن-ها را با برخي بحور سازگار نمايد. در اين تحقيق به بررسي اجمالي همين كاركرد مهم و اساسي رديف پرداخته شده و نشان داده شده است حتي در غزل هاي كوتاه كه نيازي نيز به قوافي بسيار در آن ها وجود نداشته، باز هم براي سازگاري كلمات قافيه جديد با بحور متفاوت از رديف استفاده شده است.
