40 Year's Achievements of Development in Postgraduate Educations of Iran's Medical Sciences

زمينه و هدف: شاخص آموزش عالي در حيطه تحصيلات تكميلي علوم پزشكي، به واسطه تأثيرگذاري همه جانبه آن در حوزه هاي زندگي فردي و اجتماعي از جمله حفظ و ارتقاء سلامت و گسترش همكاري‌هاي علمي نقش ويژه‌اي دارد. با توجه به سابقه ديرينه آغاز آموزش عالي به ويژه در حوزه علوم پزشكي در نوشتار حاضر وضعيت آموزش عالي سلامت در حوزه رشته‌هاي علوم پايه پزشكي در 40 سال پس از پيروزي انقلاب اسلامي در مقايسه با دوران قبل از آن مورد بررسي قرار گرفته است. روش بررسي: اطلاعات لازم براي انجام اين مطالعه با بهره‌گيري از مجموعه مستندات حوزه‌هاي مسئول معاونت آموزشي وزارت متبوع كه وظيفه نظارت بر آموزش تحصيلات تكميلي علوم پزشكي دارند از جمله شوراي آموزش علوم پايه پزشكي، بهداشت و تخصصي فراهم شده است. يافته‌ها: آموزش در رشته‌هاي علوم پايه پزشكي تا پيش از انقلاب محدود به 17 رشته كارشناسي ارشد در تعداد معدودي از دانشگاه‌ها و مراكز آموزش عالي وقت كشور بوده است. در خصوص مقطع دكتراي تخصصي نيز تنها آموزش 2 رشته ايمني‌شناسي و اپيدميولوژي آن هم فقط در دانشگاه تهران برپا بوده است. انقلاب اسلامي زمينه توسعه چشمگير رشته- محل‌هاي علوم پايه پزشكي در سراسر كشور را به گونه‌اي فراهم نمود كه در حال حاضر تعداد 81 برنامه آموزشي در مقطع كارشناسي ارشد با 901 رشته- محل و 61 برنامه آموزشي در مقطع دكتراي تخصصي با 388 رشته- محل فرايند آموزش در بخش تحصيلات علوم پايه پزشكي را به انجام مي‌رسانند. نتيجه‌گيري: بررسي آماري وضعيت توسعه تحصيلات دانشگاهي رشته‌هاي علوم پايه پزشكي در بازه زماني 40 ساله پس از پيروزي انقلاب اسلامي نشان‌دهنده رشد قابل توجه كمي از لحاظ تعداد رشته‌ها در مقاطع كارشناسي ارشد و دكتراي تخصصي و دانشگاه‌هاي پذيرنده مي‌باشد. توجه جدي به الگوي توسعه رشته‌ها منطبق با نيازهاي روز كشور و همچنين توجه جدي‌تر به كيفيت آموزش ضروري به نظر مي‌رسد.

Background and objective: In the field of medical sciences' postgraduate discipline, the High education's index has specific role and position because of all-inclusive impressiveness on several parts of individual and social life among the health protection and its promotion and also the expanse of national and international scientific collaborations. In the present writing, the situation of postgraduates' health education at the scope of medical basic sciences has been surveyed during 40 years after victory of the Islamic revolution in comparison with its past period. Methods and Materials: The data needed for fulfilling this survey has been obtained with seeking between available documentations and enactments issued by responsible departments of deputy for education which have legal duty for supervision upon the postgraduate programs such as council of the education for medical basic sciences, health and professionals. Results: Before the Islamic revolution, education in medical basic sciences had been limited just to 17 Master courses at a few number of Iranian Universities and other for high educational centers. Available data about the Ph.D. courses at that period indicate the training of 2 programs respectively in immunology and the second one as, epidemiology had been run only at Tehran University. Glorious Islamic revolution predisposed backgrounds of the salient growth and prominent development of medical basic sciences around the Country which resulted to 81 Master curriculum and 61 Ph.D. programs respectively in 901 and 388 course-places are training right now. Conclusion: The statistical study on situation of academic education's development for medical basic sciences' disciplines demonstrates the noticeable quantitative growth in Master and Ph.D. degrees and also registered medical Universities during a 40 yearly spam. There are solemn attentions to the pattern development of academic disciplines coincidentally with daily requirements of the Country and even with more considerations on the quality of education process.
