ارتقاي بهره ­وري سبب پيشرفت و توسعه يافتگي مي­شود و اكثر كشورهاي توسعه­ يافته و در حال توسعه به منظور اشاعه نگرش به مقوله بهره ­وري و تعميم بكارگيري فنون و روش­هاي ارتقاي آن، سرمايه­ گذاري­هاي زيادي انجام داده ­اند.يكي از اجزاء مهم ارزيابي عملكرد، سنجش كارايي سازمان است. سنجش كارايي سازمان­هاي مختلف و مقايسه كارايي بين واحدهاي آنها، از جمله مسائل مهمي است كه امروزه مورد توجه قرارگرفته است. يكي از مسائل اساسي كه مؤسسه آموزشي و پژوهشي و به طور خاص دانشگاه ­ها با آن مواجه هستند فقدان سيستم­هاي منسجم ارزيابي عملكرد است. تحليل پوششي داده ­ها (DEA) تكنيكي رياضي و مديريتي براي ارزيابي واحدهاي تصميم­ گيرنده (DMU) با ورودي و خروجي ­هاي متعدد و متنوع است و با در نظر گرفتن وابستگي­ ها و ساختار سيستم­ ها و همچنين بازخورد اثرات متقابل معيارها به ارزيابي سيستماتيك عملكرد DMUها پرداخته مي­شود. در پژوهش حاضر اندازه ­گيري و مقايسه كارايي هجده دانشكده­ي دانشگاه آزاد اسلامي واحد علوم و تحقيقات در حوزه پژوهشي براي دو مقطع زماني صورت گرفت كه در مجموع پژوهش دانشكده ­ها در مقطع زماني اول يعني نيمسال دوم سال تحصيلي 93-92 از وضعيت بهتري نسبت به مقطع زماني دوم يعني نيمسال اول سال تحصيلي 94-93 برخوردار بودند.

This approach (combining two techniques, DEA and MCDM) to eliminate restrictions on the complete ranking in the classic DEA method.In this study, measure and compare the performance of the eighteen schools of Islamic Azad University, Science and Research branch in the field of research has been done for two time periods.
