Ethical and Practical Perspectives of Environmental Justice in the Organic Farming

زمينه: عدالت زيست محيطي يك مفهوم چالش برانگيز در ارتباط با روند توسعه كشاورزي است به اين دليل كه موقعيت منافع اجتماعي و زيست‌محيطي در تضاد با ليبراليسم بازار و رشد اقتصادي است. با توجه به اينكه محيط طبيعي، مشترك بين همه موجودات مي‌باشد، عدالت زيست محيطي با مفهوم رعايت «انصاف» در مواجهه با محيط زيست مرتبط مي‌باشد. كشاورزي ارگانيك يك موقعيت پيشرفته با توجه به عدالت زيست محيطي است، چرا كه به برقراري راه‌هاي تعامل با محيط طبيعي كمك مي‌كند. اما با اين حال عدالت زيست محيطي هم چالش‌هاي قابل‌توجهي را با كشاورزي ارگانيك دارد. در اين مطالعه به بررسي جايگاه عدالت زيست محيطي در چالش‌هاي جهاني كشاورزي ارگانيك با نگاه اخلاقي و عملي و نيز چگونگي همگرايي و مصالحه بين عدالت زيست محيطي و فعاليت‌هاي ارگانيك توجه شده است. نتيجه‌گيري: كالايي گرايي عامه مردم، محيط خارجي و هزينه‌هاي اجتماعي سه چالش اساسي هستند كه در بازار‌هاي مصرف، تجارت از راه دور و نظام مالكيت غذايي ارگانيك به حساب آورده نمي‌شوند. ايده عدالت زيست محيطي را مي‌توان از طريق اجراي كامل عدالت زيست محيطي در صدور استانداردهاي گواهينامه‌هاي ارگانيك، توسعه تجارت عادلانه ارگانيك، تشويق كشاورزي بدون گواهينامه استاندارد به رعايت اصول ارگانيك به‌عنوان راهبرد جايگزين در نزد جوامع محلي و امنيت عذايي، بوسيله حمايت از كشاورزي ارگانيك به‌عنوان يك نمونه جايگزين جهت اجراي وسيع عدالت زيست محيطي در كشاورزي و جامعه با استفاده از كشاورزي ارگانيك ترويج نمود.

Ecological justice is a challenging concept in relation to the current development of agriculture, because it positions social and ecological interests against market liberalism and economic growth. Ecological justice concerns fairness with regard to the common environment based on the idea that environments are fundamentally shared. Organic agriculture is in an advanced position with regard to ecological justice, since it aims to interact in a positive way with the environment. But ecological justice also poses significant challenges to organic agriculture. In this study is considered to the status of environmental justice in the global challenges of organic farming by looking at the ethical and practical activities and the manner of convergence and compromise between environmental justice and organic activities. Conclusion: The three main challenges of hithero commons, external environmental and social costs that are not accounted in the market, growing distance in form of distant trade and ownership in the organic food. We conclude that the ideas of ecological justice can be promoted by in different way by means of organic agriculture, by implementing ecological justice more fully in the organic certification standards through incorporating a measure of nearness and developing an organic fair trade, by promoting non- certified agriculture based on the organic principles as an alternative development strategy for local sustainable communities and food security and by organic agriculture serving as an alternative example for the broader implementation of ecological justice in agriculture and society.
