مقدمه: در حال حاضر نظريه‌ها نقش بسزايي در همه علوم انساني از جمله مددكاري اجتماعي ايفا مي‌كنند اما نظريه‌هاي مددكاري اجتماعي هيچ‌گاه بطور جامع مورد مقايسه و تحليل قرار نگرفته‌اند. اين مرور مهمترين نظريه‌هاي مددكاري اجتماعي را بررسي و مقايسه مي‌كند. روش: پايگاه‌هاي اطلاعات الكترونيكي مرتبط (Pub Med Elsevier, Google Scholar, Critical Social Work, SID, SAGEPUB, CIVILICA و Science Direct) به صورت سيستماتيك با استفاده از كليد واژه‌هاي Social Work و Theory و نام‌هاي اختصاصي نظريات جستجو شدند. سپس اسنادي كه به تبيين، مقايسه و يا تحليل نظريه‌هاي مددكاري پرداخته بودند، استخراج شدند. نظريه‌ها بر اساس دليل و زمان شكل‌گيري، اهداف، گروه هدف، نقش مددكار اجتماعي و روش، مدت و تمركز زماني مداخله مورد مقايسه و تحليل قرار گرفتند. نتايج: 25 نظريه مددكاري اجتماعي مقايسه شدند. بر اساس ظهور و پيشرفت نظريات مددكاري اجتماعي سه موج اصلي در حوزه مددكاري اجتماعي فردي، دو موج در حوزه كار با خانواده و چهار موج در حوزه مددكاري اجتماعي جامعه‌اي معرفي شدند. بسياري از نظريه‌هاي مددكاري اجتماعي به منظور تكميل نظريه‌هاي قبلي ارائه شده‌اند و بيشتر نظريه‌ها بر زمان حال تمركز داشته‌اند و در برگيرنده مداخلات بينش محور بودند بلكه مداخلات با تمركز بر فرد و محيط پيرامون توجه بيشتري نشان داده‌اند. بحث و نتيجه‌گيري: رخ‌دادهاي جهاني مانند جنگ‌هاي جهاني، جنبش‌هاي اجتماعي چون فمينيست، جهاني شدن، پيشرفت تكنولوژي و اينترنت، در تغييرات نظريه‌هاي مددكاري اجتماعي بسيار موثر بوده‌اند. در بسياري موارد مددكاران اجتماعي به عنوان مدافع، توانمند‌كننده و برنامه‌ريز براي برقراري عدالت اجتماعي تلاش مي‌كنند. مي‌توان پيش‌بيني كرد پديده‌هاي جهاني و بين‌المللي در آينده بر تغييرات نظريه‌هاي مددكاري اجتماعي تأثير قابل توجهي داشته باشند.

Interoduction: At present, theories play a role in all human sciences, including social work but, the social work theories have not been comprehensively compared and analyzed. This review investigates and compares the most important social work theories. Methodology: Relevant electronic databases (Pub Med, Elsevier, Google Scholar, Critical Social Work, SID, SAGEPUB, CIVILICA and Science Direct) were systematically searched using Social Work and Theory Key Words and the specific names of theories. Then the documents were extracted that they had explained, compared or analyzed social work theories. Theories were compared and analyzed based on reason and date of development, goals, target population, social worker’s role, and method, duration and time concentration of intervention. Results: Twenty-five social work theories were compared. According to the development process of the social work theories, three main waves for the individual social work, two waves for family social work and four waves for community social work have been introduced. Most of the social work theories have been presented in order to complete the previous theories and focused on present and insight- driven interventions. Moreover, they mostly have been paid attention to individual intervention and their environment. Conclusion: Global events such as world wars, social movements like feminism, globalization, technology advancement and internet had been very effective in changes of social work theories. In many cases, social workers attempt as advocators, enablers and programmers for social justice. It is predictable that global and international phenomenon will have enormous effect on the changes of social work theories in future.
