تحليل زمان روايي در دو فيلم درباره الي و گذشته از ديدگاه ژرار ژنت

A Study of Narrative Time in About Eli and The Past based on Gerard Genette's Theory

در اين پژوهش تلاش شده است تا با رويكردي ساختارگرايانه، روايت دو فيلم از فيلم‌هاي اخير سينماي ايران يعني درباره الي (1388) و گذشته (2013) موردبررسي و مطالعه قرار بگيرند. تئوري‌هاي ژرار ژنت در باب روابط زماني ميان سطح داستان و سطح روايت در اين آثار بكار بسته‌شده‌ تا به درك پيچيدگي‌هاي اين آثار كمك كنند. هدف اين پژوهش ارائه چارچوب ساختاري دو اثر موفق از سينماي ايران است تا بتواند راهگشايي براي فيلم‌سازان جوان و علاقه‌مندان به مطالعات سينمايي و روايت‌شناسي باشد. اين پژوهش مطالعه‌اي توصيفي تحليلي است كه به روش مطالعات كتابخانه‌اي و مشاهده فيلم انجام‌گرفته است. زمان يكي از عناصر مهم و تاثيرگذار در سينماي فرهادي است و مسئله اصلي اين مقاله بررسي چگونگي كاربست زمان و تاثيرات آن بر كليت روايت است. نتايج اين مطالعه نشان داد كه به جهت وفاداري به ژانر سينماي واقع‌گرا در فيلم درباره الي ترتيب رويدادها، ترتيبي تقريباً خطي و متناظر با ترتيب رويدادها در داستان است و زمان‌پريشي‌هاي اندكي در آن مشاهده مي‌شود. درحالي‌كه در فيلم ‌گذشته، پس‌نگري اهميت ويژه‌اي دارد، اما تمام پس‌نگري‌ها از نوع نقلي هستند كه بازهم در راستاي خلق فضايي واقع‌گرا هستند. تداوم از نوع صحنه در هردوي اين آثار زماني به‌كاررفته است كه قصد معرفي شخصيت‌ها يا توجه به جزئيات يك صحنه مدنظر بوده است. همين‌طور تداوم از نوع حذف نيز در هر دو فيلم به جهت ايجاد تعليق و گره‌ روايت به‌كاررفته است. بسامد نيز در هردوي اين آثار غالباً مفرد است كه بازهم در خدمت وفاداري به ژانر واقع‌گرا بوده است.

Since narrative plays a significant role in cinema, its detailed structural study is a promising area of investigation. In this line of inquiry, two Iranian movies, namely, About Eli and The Past by Asghar Farhadi were selected to be analyzed based on a structural approach. Gerard Genette's theory of chronological relations between story and narrative was applied to these movies; the concepts of order, duration and frequency were detected in both narratives in order to explain the complexities of the movies. According to Genette, order is the relation between the time of the story and that of the text or discourse. This comparative study revealed that due to its allegiance to the realist cinema, About Eli potentially has a linear order, being in correspondence with the events of the story. In addition, there are a few anachronisms in the text. However, in The Past, as the title implies, flashback has a crucial role, but all the flashbacks are speech-based not visual which is in line with the world of the realist cinema. The scene type of duration were employed in both movies whenever there was a need to introduce some characters or to attract the attentions to some particularities. Moreover, the ellipsis type of duration were used in order to create the suspension and dilemma of the plot. Frequency is mostly singulative in both works in order to keep the movies loyal to the realist cinema.
