نقد و بررسي كتاب بن‌مايه‌هاي يهودي در فلسفة اسپينوزا

The critique and survey of the book “Jewish themes in Spinoza’s Philosophy”

در مقالة حاضر كتاب بن‌مايه‌هاي يهودي در فلسفة اسپينوزا را معرفي، نقد، و بررسي خواهيم كرد. اين كتاب را انتشارات دانشگاه ايالتي نيويورك با عنوان Jewish Themes in Spinoza’s philosophy در سال 2002، با ويرايش دو متخصص برجستة انديشۀ اسپينوزا و مطالعات يهودي، يعني هايدي راون و لن گودمن، منتشر كرده است. بسياري از منتقدان سرشناس بر اين باورند اين كتاب نخستين تلاش جدي براي فهم انديشة اسپينوزا و نشان‌دادن جايگاه آن در تاريخ فلسفة يهودي است. در اين كتاب از سنّت رايج ديگر كتاب‌هايي كه به‌زبان انگليسي دراين‌باره منتشر شده‌اند پيروي نشده است و براي نخستين‌بار موضوعات مهم فلسفة اسپينوزا و بن‌مايه‌هاي يهودي آن بررسي شده است. هدف از تدوين كتاب معرفي اسپينوزا هم‌چون فيلسوفي يهودي است. با‌اين‌حال سرويراستاران محترم در گزينش مقالاتي يك‌دست، چه از حيث موضوع و چه از حيث محتواي تخصصي، توفيق چنداني نداشته‌اند و نبودِ فصلي خاصِ نتيجه‌گيري نيز شايد به‌نوعي نشان‌دهندة همين باشد كه نمي‌شود از اين مقالات صداي واحدي را دربارة ارتباط اسپينوزا با يهوديت شنيد.

In the article, we have introduced, examined and criticized the book Jewish Themes in Spinoza’s philosophy. New York State University Publication have published this book under the title of Jewish Themes in Spinoza s Philosophy with the edition of two prominent experts in Spinoza and Jewish studies by the names of Heidi Ravven and Len Goodman in 2002. Many prominent critics believe this book is the first serious attempt to understand Spinoz’ s thought and shows its place in the history of Jewish philosophy. Unlike the other books written in English on this subject, this book has violated the current custom / tradition, and for the first time have examined Spinoza’s important issues and its Jewish themes. The aim of this book is to introduce Spinoza as a Jewish philosophy as well. In spite of this, chief honorable editors have not succeeded to choose unexamined articles in regard to both subject and technical content. A lack of special chapter to indicate the conclusion of this work shows we may not achieve a monotonous viewpoint about the relation between Spinoza and Judaism.
