معيارهاي كتاب تخصصي مطلوب در رشتۀ زبان انگليسي

The Criteria of a Good Textbook for English Language Major

اهميت كتاب به عنوان عنصر لاينفك آموزش بر كسي پوشيده نيست. در اين ميان، كتابي مفيد و مؤثر خواهد بود كه معيار­هاي مطلوب را داشته باشد. در اين تحقيق، تلاش شده است معيار­هاي يك كتاب خوب و جامع در رشتۀ زبان انگليسي در مقطع دانشگاهي، بازتعريف و ارائه گردد و به دنبال آن، كتاب­هاي تخصصي دانشگاهي رشتۀ زبان انگليسي چاپ شده در انتشارات معتبر داخلي و خارجي با رجوع به معيار­هاي موردنظر در اين مطالعه، ارزيابي شود. در اين راستا، از ميان ناشران داخلي: سازمان سمت، دانشگاه پيام نور، خط سفيد، رهنما و زبانكده، هر كدام يك عنوان كتاب و از ميان ناشران خارجي، انتشارات دانشگاه آكسفورد، كيمبريج، راتلج، بلك‌ول و لانگ‌من نيز هر كدام يك عنوان كتاب انتخاب شده است؛ سپس بر اساس روش تحقيق تحليل محتوا، كتاب‌هاي متنخب توسط 20 داور مسلط به انجام پژوهش، ارزيابي شد. روايي و پايايي ابزار تحقيق (كرسول[1]، 2007) در سطح قابل قبولي گزارش شد. بررسي و ارزيابي كتاب­هاي موردنظر نشان داد كه در مجموع، كتاب­هاي ناشران سرشناس بين­ المللي در مقايسه با ناشران داخلي، با معيارهاي موردنظر در اين پژوهش تطابق بيشتري داشت؛ اگرچه كتاب ­هاي ناشران ايراني، در بسياري جهات، از جمله همخواني با چارچوب يك كتاب خوب دانشگاهي در سطح قابل قبولي بودند، كاستي­ ها و نواقصي نيز در اين زمينه مشاهده گرديد كه در بخش پاياني اين تحقيق به آنها پرداخته شد. ] يافته­ هاي پژوهش، لزوم توجه بيشتر نويسندگان و ناشران داخلي به بهبود سطح كيفي و محتوايي كتاب‌هاي تخصصي حوزۀ زبان انگليسي و پوشش كاستي‌هاي آن‌ها را نشان مي‌دهد.

The importance of book as an inseparable ingredient of education is not overlooked. However, a book will be useful and effective when it meets acceptable criteria. This inquiry aimed at redefining and representing the criteria for a comprehensive university textbook offered for English major, as well as evaluating a set of specialized English university textbook published by prestigious Iranian and international publishers on the basis of the presented criteria. To do so, one title from each certain domestic and international publishers was chosen; the domestic publishers were SAMT, Payame Noor University, Khate sefid, Rahnama, and Zabankhadeh; and the international publishers were Oxford University Press, Cambridge, Routledge, Blackwell, and Longman. Relying on content analysis, 20 research experts judged the selected books. The validity and reliability of the research instrument were reported at an acceptable level (Creswell, 2007). The assessments revealed that generally the books by international publishers, compared to the books by domestic publishers, were more compatible with the criteria presented in this research. Although domestic books were in tandem with the framework of an acceptable university textbook, there were inadequacies in them that were presented at the end of this paper. The findings demand domestic publishers to pay more attention to improve qualitative level and content quality of specialized books for English major.
