با وحدت آلمان، فروپاشي نظام دو قطبي و تحولات پس از پايان جنگ سرد، سياست خارجي و امنيتي اين كشور نيز دچار تغيير و تحول گسترده اي گرديد و با توجه به قدرت اقتصادي، جمعيت و موقعيت ژئوپليتيكي آلمان، شرايط و موقعيت كاملاً جديدي نيز براي ايفاي نقش فعالتر اين كشور درعرصه تحولات اقتصادي، سياسي، دفاعي و امنيتي منطقه اي و بين المللي فراهم آمد. اين پژوهش قصد دارد با استفاده از روش تحقيق تبييني - تحليلي و گردآوري منابع به روش كتابخانه اي، به بررسي تغيير و تحول در سياست دفاعي و امنيتي آلمان در دوره پس از جنگ سرد بپردازد. فرضيه پژوهش بر اين ادعا است كه فضاي حاصله پس از جنگ سرد و تحولات بوجود آمده در سطح منطقه اي و بين المللي نظير بحران بالكان، حمله عراق به كويت و بحران 11 سپتامبر 2001 منجر به تغيير و تحول اساسي در سياست دفاعي و امنيتي آلمان گرديده و اين كشور را به سوي اتخاذ يك راهبرد منطقه اي و بين المللي فعال و برون گرا در جهت ايجاد و حفظ صلح و ثبات جهاني و ﺗﺄمين هر چه بهتر منافعش سوق داده است.

This research intends to use research methods and analytical -explanatory compiled a library of resources to techniques, to examine the changes and evolution of the defense and security policy in Germany in the period after the cold war. The hypothesis of this research is based on the claim that the resulting space after the end of the cold war and developments in the regional and international level, such as the breakdown of Yugoslavia, the Balkan crisis and the events of September 11, 2001 caused a fundamental transformation in the German defense and security policy, and this country is to adopt an active regional and international strategy .
