بررسي نظريه ترجمه يوهان ولفگانگ فون گوته در «يادداشت‌ها و مقالات براي فهم بهتر ديوانِ غربي- شرقي»

A study on the translation theory of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe in his "Noten und Abhandlungen zum besseren Verständnis des Divans"

يوهان ولفگانگ فون گوته (1749-1832) اديب، شاعر و متفكر آلماني در بخش دوم ديوان غربي- شرقي خود با عنوان يادداشت ها و مقالات براي فهم بهتر ديوان غربي-شرقي كه به نثر تأليف شده است با عملي هرمنوتيكي همت خويش را مصروف هموار كردن فهم ديوان خود مي كند. در فصل با نام ترجمه تأملات خود را در باب امر ترجمه و انواع آن بيان مي كند. گوته سه نوع يا به زعم خود، سه دوره از ترجمه را بر مي شمارد. نوع اول كه آن را نوع اقتباسي مي نامد. دوره دوم كه تلاش بر خلق دوباره اثر در زبان مقصد است. و دوره آخر كه متن اصلي و ترجمه با يكديگر به سوي متن اساسي و بنيادين حركت مي كنند. دوره اين جستار در پي بررسي و تبيين ويژگيهاي دوره هاي مزبور و همچنين نشان دادن فصل مميز و همپوشاني اين نظريات با هم عصران گوته يا همان رمانتيك هاي متقدم و هم افق شدن فيلسوفان متأخر هرمنوتيك همچون هانس گئورگ گادامر و پل ريكور با وي است.

The German poet and thinker Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1832-1749), has performed a hermeneutic feat in the prose part of his West-Eastern Divan titled "Noten und Abhandlungen zum besseren Verständnis des Divans”. In the penultimate chapter of this part entitled "Übersetzung," (Translation) Goethe attempts to showcase and present his theory of translation. He distinguishes between three types or, as he says, three epochs of translation. The first one which he describes as “parodistic” or adaptation. The second period reflects the effort to recreate the original into the own language; and the last period in which the original along with the translation move forward to the “Grundtext”, the fundamental text. This article attempts to examine the described and mentioned types and to emphasize their peculiarity to his contemporaries in the romantic era. The similarity to the romantics but also its differentiation to those is taken into account. Moreover the similarities to the modern hermeneutics, such as Hans Georg Gadamer and Paul Ricoeur are examined in more detail.
