Bilingual Education and Necessity to Differentiate Two Educational Challenges for Deaf Students

مينه: برخي مشكلات يا ناكارآمديها در شيوه هاي آموزشي ناشنوايان را ميتوان ناشي از اين امر دانست كه حق آموزشي و نياز ناشنوا به فراگيري علوم، دروس و دانش‌هاي رايج در نظام آموزشي كشور، با نياز وي به يادگيري زبان فارسي به صورت مجزا پاسخ داده نميشود و اصولاً به مجزا بودن اين دو نياز آموزشي، به خصوص براي كودكان ناشنوا توجه نميشود. دراين مقاله با استناد به يافته هاي پژوهشگران ايراني و غيرايراني نشان خواهيم داد كه دانش آموز ناشنوا فردي دوزبانه است و زبان فارسي زبان اصلي وي نيست. نتيجه گيري: از اين رو راهكار پيشنهادي براي آموزش ناشنوايان كه در اين مقاله ارائه ميشود، راهكار آموزش دوزبانه است. بدين صورت كه علوم و دروس مختلف رايج در نظام آموزشي كشور را به زبان اول ناشنوايان، يعني به زبان اشاره به او آموزش دهيم و يادگيري زبان فارسي را با روشهاي مخصوص آموزش زبان دوم و در مسير موازي ببريم.

Background: Some obstacles and inefficiencies in deaf education system may be attributed to the fact that the right to education and equality of opportunities for national core curriculum, and the need for learning Farsi language are not met separately among deaf students. In fact, the distinction between these two educational challenges is not addressed to deaf pupils in particular. Based on the findings of Iranian and foreign scholars, this study claims that an Iranian deaf student is characterized as a bilingual and Farsi is not his/her first language. Conclusion: Therefore, a bilingual educational strategy is proposed here for teaching the deaf. The official core curriculum will be taught through Iranian Sign Language, i.e. the first and natural language of the deaf. At the same time, Farsi language will be taught by using certain second language teaching methods.
