هدف اين پژوهش، بررسي تطبيقي درونمايه داستانهاي كودكانه احمدرضا احمدي و مگان مك دونالد1 دو نويسنده كودك ايران و جهان براي بررسي شيوه ارائه درونمايه، تناسب درونمايه با ويژگي مخاطب كودك و نگرش نويسندگان نسبت به كودك براي دست يافتن به نقاط ضعف و قوت نويسندگان در انتخاب و پردازش مناسب درونمايه داستانهاي كودك است. روش تحقيق به صورت كتابخانه اي و تحليل محتوا است. درونمايه داستانهاي دونالد درباره مسائلي چون كنجكاوي و افزايش ميزان اطلاعات كودك درباره خود و خودباوري كودك براي حفظ و نجات محيط زيست و... است و درونمايه داستانهاي احمدي مسائلي چون پرسشگري كودك راهي براي شناخت بهتر جهان، افسردگي و اندوه ناشي از تنهايي و تاثير آن در مخاطب كودك، غنيمت شمردن فرصتها و لحظات زندگي و ... را بيان مي كند. اين مقايسه نشان داد كه كودك در داستانهاي دونالد خودباوري و اعتماد به نفس زيادي دارد به طوري كه مي خواهد دنيا را نجات دهد؛ اما كودك در داستانهاي احمدي در مقايسه با كودك داستانهاي دونالد، خودباوري كمتري دارد. دونالد در قالب حوادث شاد و هيجان انگيز داستان توانسته است گوشه اي از توانمندي، علايق و دنياي كودكان را به نمايش بگذارد.
