The rural community from the past has always faced with problems such as population decline, poor housing, insecure housing, poor sanitation, and the exclusion of a variety of welfare services and infrastructure, which comes from the neglect of the countryside and the issue of Livability. In addition, villages are one of the most important backbones of cities and the life of cities depends on the survival of villages. The results of field observations and field surveys in the Mehroyeh village show that in view of the location of this rural in the deprived areas of the country, there is a low level of developmental indicators and, on the other hand, the occurrence of periodic droughts The economy has faced a recession. Most of the villages in this village are faced with immigration due to problems caused by natural disasters and low incomes, poor housing and low health indices. In recent years, with the implementation of rural housing renovation and renovation projects, a large number of villagers have received refurbishment and renovation facilities and resilient housing due to their lack of housing or old housing and the destruction of their residential units. In this framework and in connection with the rehabilitation of housing with the Livability of villages, it can be said that Livability includes three main dimensions of a vibrant society, a healthy economy and a sustainable environment. Housing rehabilitation is one of the biomass indicators of villages. Planning and efficient management is necessary to increase its positive effects and reduce negative effects in rural communities. This requires coordinated planning to ensure that housing rehabilitation is a way of achieving the vitality of the villages. With this description, the present study aims to investigate the role of rural housing rehabilitation in the village of Mehroyeh in rural biomass and to answer the main question, which is “what is the role of rural housing rehabilitation in rural Livability?".
