با اشغال عراق توسط آمريكا در سال 2003 ساختار سياسي و امنيتي جديدي در اين كشور شكل گرفت؛ تدوين قانون اساسي جديد؛ برگزاري انتخابات سراسري و آزاد با حضور تمام گروههاي سياسي» قومي و مذهبي؛ شكل گيري دولت و مجلس قانون گذاري بر مبناي نظام پارلماني تحولات جديدي بودند كه در سال هاي اخير به وقوع پيوست*.بديهي است كه اين تحولات نمي‌تواند بر كشورهاي همسايه به ويژه ايران كه اشتراكات فرهنگي؛ تاريخي و مذهبي زيادي با عراق دارد؛ بي‌تاثير باشد. بر اين اساس هرگونه موفقيت يا شكست در ساختار سياسي و امنيتي جديد اين كشور مستلزم توجه به تهديدات ناشي از اين تحولات است كه ممكن است درآ بنده» امنيت ملي چا ارا با مخاطرات ويژه اي مواجه سازد. جامعه آماري اين تحقيق تعداد 385 نفر از دانشجويان دكتري علوم سياسي مي‌باشد، اين پژوهش با طرح اين سوال كه ساختار سياسي و امئيتي جديد عراق چه تاثيري بر امنيت ملي ج.ا. | دارد، به اين نتيجه رسيده است كه ساختار جديد عراق بر امنيت ملي جمهوري اسلامي ايران در ابعاد سياسي و امنيتي تاثير مستفيم دارد. اين مقاله با روش تحليلي - تبييني و با استفاده از منابع كتابخانه اي و پيمايشي انجام شده است.
