تا قبل از ورود مدرنيته به دنياي بشريت، شهرها به­نسبت، فضاهاي ­بهتري را براي زندگي فراهم مي­نمودند. يكي­از­اين فضاها، پياده­راه­هاي موجود در­سطح شهر است كه توسط خودروها مورد ­تهاجم و زندگي­جمعي در­آن كمرنگ و در­مواردي رو­به­متروكي مي­رود و علي­رغم آگاهي مسئولين­امر و اقدامات ­مقطعي و­گاه مستمر صورت­پذيرفته در­جهت بهبود و بازآفريني، هيچ­يك، منجر به رضايتمندي و احياي آن نگرديده است، اين ­مقاله كه برگرفته از رساله دكتري اينجانب است درصدد­ است با ­نگاهي ­مجدد به ملاك­هاي ­كالبدي به­ عنوان ­پايه­ و مبناي ­حضور و مشاركت ­مردم، با ­هدف ارائه ­الگويي جهت ساماندهي و اولويت­بخشي به اقدامات­ كالبدي آتي پياده­راه­هاي­­ شهري اقدام ­نمايد. كه بر ­اين ­­اساس در­ جهت سنجش ­شاخص­هاي ­­اثرگذاركالبدي (ايمني، سرزندگي، خوانايي و نفوذپذيري) با يكي از­مرتبط­ترين شاخص­هاي اثرپذير حكمروايي (مشاركت) نسبت به تهيه پرسشنامه­خودساخته ­استاندارد اقدام و با ­استفاده از نرم­افزار­SPSS­ داده­ها تحليل و در­نهايت با­استفاده از مدل­رگرسيوني­پس­رونده و در سه­مرحله با سنجش هريك از شاخص­هاي كالبدي و ارتباط آن با شاخص مشاركت، دو ­متغير ­نفوذپذيري و ايمني­و­امنيت (با وزن ­كمتر) از مدل خارج و دو ­متغير سرزندگي ­و­خوانايي (با وزن ­بيشتر) در مدل باقي و مدل سوم به­ عنوان مدل كامل با­لحاظ كليه معيارهاي كفايت مدل شناخته مي­گردد كه مي‌توان نتيجه گرفت خوانايي ­و­ سرزندگي برروي حكمروايي تأثير معناداري ­داشته ­و ­ايمني ­و ­امنيت ­و ­نفوذپذيري تأثير­ معناداري نداشته­اند.
