نقد نوشته‌هاي يوزف ولسكي درباره تاريخ و فرهنگ ايران اشكاني

JózefWolski’s Writings on the Arsacid History and Culture: A Critique

نوشته‌ها و آثار يوزف ولسكي درباره تاريخ و فرهنگ اشكانيان، منجر به ايجاد رويكرد نويني شد كه توانست افق تازه‌اي بر زواياي تاريك و مبهم اين دوران بگشايد. وي در نوشته‌هايش ضرورت بازبيني و تجديدنظر اساسي در ديدگاههاي رايج گذشتۀ مورخان و محققان اين دوره از تاريخ ايران را گام نخست و اوليه‌اي مي‌داند كه مي‌تواند در بازسازي وجهۀ اشكانيان در چارچوب تاريخ باستاني ايران موثر باشد. روش بررسي در اين مقاله، استخراج ديدگاهها و رويكردهاي اساسي ولسكي از خلال نوشته‌ها و آثار كليدي وي درباره ايران اشكاني است. در اين راستا برخي از مهم‌ترين مقالات وي ترجمه و تلخيص شده‌اند. از جمله مهمترين نتايج و دستاوردهاي اين نوشته در معرفي نگرش‌هاي ولسكي بايد به خروج منابع بومي و ايراني از حاشيه و تبديل آنها به منابع معيار و نقد روشمند منابع يوناني و روميِ مرتبط با اشكانيان اشاره كرد. همچنين يافتن پيوندهاي ايدئولوژيك ميان اشكانيان با سنن هخامنشي اساسي‌ترين راهبرد ولسكي به شمار مي‌رود. وي براي اين منظور فرضيۀ مسلك ايرانگرايي اشكانيان را مطرح كرده‌است. تلاش‌هاي وي گر چه به شكل كاملي موفقيت‌آميز نبوده، دست‌كم در تعديل ديدگاههاي منفي گذشته نسبت به اشكانيان از درخشش ويژه اي برخوردار بوده است.

JózefWolski’s works on the Arsacid history and culture has led to a new approach which has shed new light on the unknown and ambiguous aspects of the Arsacid Empire. For him, the first step in reconstructing the picture of Arsacid period in the framework of the Ancient Persian history is reexamining and revising the ideas long held by historians of this period. The method implemented is to extract Wolski’s basic vision and approach out of his key writings. To this end, many of his most important papers were translated or summarized. Among the most important achievements of this study in introducing his works is that the Persian domestic sources gained prominence and were changed into canonical works.As well, a systematic criticism of Greek and Roman sources related to the Arsacid Empire was achieved. Moreover, the most fundamental strategy of the author under discussion was to find the ideological links between Arsacid and Achaemenid traditions. To unravel these links, he brings forth the hypothesis concerning ArsacidIranism. Although not fully successful, his ideas were instrumental in modifying the negative opinions towards the empire.
