خوشنويسي يكي از هنرهاي خاص دوران اسلامي است. خط كوفي ـ كه خطي عربي است ـ به پشتوانه­ ي نوشتار كلام الهي، ارزش و اعتبار ويژه اي يافت. اين پشتوانه­ ي معنوي با حضور در عرصه هاي مختلف هنري و به كار بردن سليقه توسط هنرمندان، به شكل­ گيري انواع خط كوفي منجر شد. خاستگاه اين خط، شهر كوفه و بيشترين استفاده از آن به عنوان يك عنصر تزئيني و كاربردي در هنرهاي مختلف از قبيل بناها، ظروف، منسوجات و ... بود كه توسط ايرانيان صورت گرفت. علاوه بر خوشنويسي، هنر پارچه­ بافي نيز در دوران اسلامي پيشرفت چشم گيري داشت. در اين دوران، اين هنر تحت­ تأثير عوامل زيادي قرار داشت؛ از جمله دين، فرهنگ، باورهاي اجتماعي و ... . بروز هنر خط­نگاره و استفاده از آن در صنعت پارچه­بافي با توجه به ويژگي كاربردي آن در جامعه و زندگي مردم در تجلي اين هنرها در دوره­ ي اسلامي نقش عمده اي داشت. هدف اين پژوهش، آشنايي با خط كوفي و كاربرد آن بر منسوجات مورد استفاده در دوره هاي اسلامي است. روش تحقيق از نوع توصيفي و تحليلي، همراه با بررسي كاربرد و شيوه­ ي جمع ­آوري اطلاعات نيز به صورت كتابخانه اي و اسنادي است. در اين پژوهش، دو اصل براي شناخت كامل در اين زمينه قابل توجه قرار گرفته ­است: 1- بررسي پيدايش خط كوفي و انواع آن؛ 2- سير تحول خط كوفي و كاربرد آنها در منسوجات دورههاي اسلامي. به همين منظور پس از شناسايي و جمع آوري انواع خطوط كوفي در منسوجات دوره هاي مذكور، مضامين و كاربردهاي مختلف آنها بررسي شد.

Calligraphy is one of the particular arts of the Islamic era. Kufic script is one of the Arabic scripts and because of the divine words; it has earned a special value and credit. The moral backing, along with its presence in various artistic arenas and the enjoyment of taste by artists, created a variety of the Kufic scripts. The origin of this script has been Kufa, but the most use of this script, has been taken as a decorative and applied element in various arts such as buildings, utensils, textiles and… by Iranians. In addition to calligraphy, the art of weaving has also been remarkable in Islamic history. The art of weaving in the period was influenced by many factors, including religion, culture, social beliefs and so on. The emergence of calligraphy on the weaving industry, due to its functional characteristics in society and people’s lives, has played a major role in the evolution of these two arts in the Islamic period. The purpose if this research is to introduce the Kufic script and its application to the textiles used in Islamic courses; which is a descriptive and analytical research with application review and method of collecting information as libraries and documents. In this study, two principals have been considered for full recognition in this field. 1. Investigating the Kufic script and its variants. 2. The evolution of the Kufic script in the texts of the aforementioned courses, we examined the different themes and applications.
