Relationship between the Needs of Nursing Mothers with Support of Children Hospitalized in Baqiyatallah Al'azam Ali Abad Katoul Hospital in 2018

ﺑﺴﺘﺮي ﺷﺪن ﮐﻮدك در ﺑﯿﻤﺎرﺳﺘﺎن يﮑﯽ از دﻻيﻞ اﺻﻠﯽ ﺗﻨﺶ و اﺿﻄﺮاب ﺑﺮاي واﻟﺪيﻦ اﺳﺖ. ﺑﺎ ﺗﻮﺟﻪ ﺑﻪ اﻫﻤﯿﺖ ارايﻪي ﻣﺮاﻗﺒﺖ ﺧﺎﻧﻮاده ﻣﺤﻮر، درك ﻧﯿﺎزﻫﺎي واﻟﺪيﻦ از سوي پرستاران از اهميت ويژه‌اي برخوردار است. اين مطالعه با هدف ارتباط نيازهاي والدين با حمايت پرستاري از كودكان بستري انجام شد.روش: در اين مطالعه توصيفي مقطعي 150 نفر از والدين كودكان بستري در بخش كودكان كه حداقل 24 ساعت در بيمارستان حضور داشته‌اند، به روش نمونه‌گيري در دسترس انتخاب و بررسي شدند. نيازهاي والدين با پرسشنامه »نيازهاي والدين كودكان بستري « و حمايت پرستاري با ابزار »حمايت پرستاري از والدين « به صورت مصاحبه انفرادي مورد ارزيابي قرار گرفت.يافته‌ها: ميزان نياز والدين با ميانگين و انحراف معيار 2/35 plusmn;152/78و ميزان حمايت پرستاري با ميانگين و انحراف معيار 16/52 plusmn; 72/01 بود. آزمون ضريب همبستگي پيرسون بين نياز والدين كودكان بستري با حمايت پرستاري ارتباط معني‌دار و مستقيم را نشان داد (0/45=r و 0/01>p). نتيجه‌گيري: با افزايش نياز والدين ميزان نياز به حمايت پرستاري افزايش پيدا مي‌نمود. با درك نيازهاي والدين از سوي كادر درماني به خصوص پرستاري نقش مهمي در ارائه حمايت‌ها و مراقبت‌هاي پرستاري دارد. لذا با افزايش درك نيازها و حمايت‌هاي پرستاري، شاهد افزايش كيفيت مراقبت و رضايتمندي بيماران و مراقبين آنها خواهيم بود.

Hospitalization of a child is one of the leading causes of stress and anxiety for parents. Considering the importance of providing family-based care, understand the need of parents by nurses is of particular significance. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the needs of parents and nursing support of hospitalized children. Methods: In this descriptive and cross-sectional study, 150 parents of children admitted to the pediatric ward of the hospital for at least 24 hours were selected by convenience sampling method. Parents' needs were assessed by individual interviews using two questionnaires of "the needs of hospitalized children’s parents" and "nursing support of parents." Results: The mean and standard deviation of parents’ needs was 152.78 ± 2.35, and nursing support was 72.01 ± 16.52. Pearson correlation coefficient showed a significant and direct correlation between the needs of parents of admitted children and nursing support (r = 0.45, P < 0.01). Conclusions: With the increasing need for parents, the need for nursing support also increased. Understanding the needs of parents by medical staff, especially nursing staff, plays an essential role in the provision of nursing care and support. Therefore, by increasing the understanding of nursing needs and support, we will improve the quality of care and satisfaction of patients and their caregivers.
