The Effectiveness of Blended Learning in the Field of Medical Education: Explaining Dimensions and Components Based on Stakeholder Experiences

يادگيري تركيبي ادغام انديشمندانه يادگيري الكترونيكي و يادگيري چهره به چهره است كه درحوزه آموزش پزشكي مورد اقبال قرار گرفته است. با توجه به اهميت و پيچيدگي اين سيستم آموزشي نوين هدف از مطالعه حاضر شناخت و درك عميق تر عوامل وابعاد موثر بر اثربخشي يادگيري تركيبي است كه بر اساس تجارب ذينفعان حاصل مي گردد. روش بررسي در اين مطالعه كيفي از رويكرد تحليل محتوا استفاده شد. مشاركت كنندگان شامل 7 نفر از اساتيد دانشگاه هاي علوم پزشكي ايران هستند كه سابقه تدريس حداقل 2 سال متوالي را در سيستم آموزش مجازي دارند و 8 نفر از دانشجويان كارشناسي ارشد رشته هاي حوزه پزشكي كه از طريق نمونه گيري هدفمند در دسترس انتخاب گرديدند. به منظور تجزيه و تحليل داده ها از روش 7 مرحله اي Colaizzi استفاده شد. يافته ها نتايج حاصل از تحقيق كيفي در 5 طبقه و 40 زيرطبقه شكل گرفت كه طبقات حاصل شده عبارت بودند از: توانمندي هاي دانشجويي، شايستگي هاي مدرس،جنبه هاي فني،حيطه پداگوژيك ومحيط حمايتي.هر كدام از طبقات به زير طبقاتي تقسيم شدند. نتيجه گيري اهميت موضوع ياددهي يادگيري و تقاضاي روز افزون براي دسترسي به آموزش از يك طرف و تاكيد بر اثربخش بودن آموزش از طرف ديگر يكي از چالش هاي پيش روي همه سازمان هاي آموزشي است. يافته هاي اين مطالعه نشان داد كه كه با بازنگري اساسي در پذيرش دانشجو و استاد و همچنين فراهم نمودن امكانات فني لازم در اين حوزه مي توان جايگاه شايسته اين آموزش را پيدا كرد.

Blended learning is the thoughtful integration of e-learning and face-to-face learning, which has been accepted in the field of medical education. Given the importance and complexity of this novel educational system, this study aimed to recognize and gain an in-depth understanding of the factors and dimensions affecting the effectiveness of blended learning based on the experiences of stakeholders in this area. Materials and Methods In this qualitative research, content analysis approach was applied. Subjects included seven faculty members of Iran University of Medical Sciences with a history of teaching through virtual education systems for a minimum of two years and eight MSc students in medical disciplines, selected by convenience sampling. Data analysis was performed applying the seven-step Colaizzi method. Results In this study, five categories, including student capabilities, teacher competencies, technical aspects, pedagogical field, and supportive environment, and 40 subcategories were obtained. Conclusion The importance of teaching-learning and increasing demand for access to education from one hand and emphasis on the effectiveness of education from the other hand are among the major challenges of all educational systems. According to the results of the study, the desirable position of this type of training could be found by the fundamental review of acceptance of students and professors and providing the necessary technical facilities.
