Multiple Frame Sampling Surveys

A sampling frame is a Keystone around which a sampling design constructed. But a single list corresponding to all elements in the population is not often available. In other situations, a single list might be available but it can be costly. In such a situation, we may simultaneously use several frames, which are not necessarily complete, that can increases the efficiency and reduces the cost. This sort of survey is known as multiple frame survey. Statistics Canada and U.S. Bureau of the Census are frontiers in using these kinds of surveys. The importance of the subject motivates us to write these review paper.
