Current research was administered with the aim of
studying the moderating role of belief in life-afterdeath
on the relationship between spiritual capital and
job stress. Research method was correlation one and
the statistical population comprised employees of a
tile factory in Esfahan city, among them two hundred
and forty persons were selected by accessible
sampling. Research instruments were the spiritual
capital questionnaire (ISCQ), belief in life-after-death
questionnaire (BLADQ) and job stress questionnaire
(JSQ). Date was analyzed using Pearson correlation
coefficient and hierarchical regression analysis.
Results indicated that, there is a negative and
significant relationship between Islamic spiritual
capital and job stress, but there is not significant
relationship between belief in life-after-death and
Islamic spiritual capital. Also the results of
hierarchical regression analysis revealed that belief in
life-after-death moderates the relationship of Islamic
spiritual capital and job stress. In the other word, when
belief in life-after-death is in high level, there is a
negative and significant relationship between Islamic
spiritual capital and job stress. But when belief in lifeafter-
death is in low level, there is no significant
relationship between Islamic spiritual capital and job
stress. The results of this study indicate that the belief
in life-after-death is an important factor in the link
between Islamic spiritual capital and job stress.
