خانواده اولين و مهمترين نهادي است كه كودك در آن متولد شده و تربيت مي­يابد. بنابراين لازمه رشد سالم و طبيعي كودكان و سلامت روان آنها، پرورش در خانواده ­اي بهنجار و سالم است كه بستر مناسبي را براي تأمين نيازهاي رشدي كودك فراهم كند. هرآنچه كه باعث اختلال در عملكرد خانواده شود، مي ­تواند زمينه­ ساز آسيب در پرورش كودكان شده و منجر به پيامدهاي منفي براي آنها شود. اعتياد والدين يكي از اين مشكلات است كه كودك را در معرض خطر قرار داده و سلامت روان او را تهديد مي­كند. از اين­رو، در اين مرور كوتاه قصد داريم به بررسي نقصان­هاي والدگري كه اغلب در خانواده­ هاي با مشكل سوء مصرف وجود دارد و هم­چنين پيامدهاي منفي­ اي كه فرزندان والدين الكلي ممكن است با آن روبرو شوند، شامل مشكل در عملكرد تحصيلي، اختلالات دروني ­سازي و بروني­ سازي و عملكرد هيجاني و اجتماعي بپردازيم.

Family is the first and most important institution that the child is born and bred in. So for the healthy and natural development of children and their mental health, its essential to children grows up in a normal and healthy family that provides a good platform that meet the developmental needs of them. Whatever that causes dysfunctions in family may predispose for damage in training of children and lead to negative consequences for them. Parental addiction is one of the problems that put children at risk and threatens their mental health. thus in this brief review, we intend to investigate the failures of parenting that there is often in families with substance abuse problems, as well as the negative consequences that children of alcoholic parents may face with, including academic performance problems, externalizing and internalizing disorders and emotional and social performance.
